Well done to the team for taking on this swim. I hope I can meet you all sometime. Thanks very much for choosing Malaria No More as one of your charities. As Tillie has probably told you I am a Special Ambassador for this MNM (as well as Auntie Jo to Tillie), and I really appreciate your support. I will ask MNM to put a link on their website for you. Hope we meet up one day. I am very proud of you, Tillie,as I am sure Harry would be too and of the rest of the team.

Guys! This is brilliant!

I am very impressed.

Can i accompany on a pedalo? (apparently the support boat is full and this one is better for the thighs...) If not - I'll wave you off from the white cliffs listening to Robson and Jerome and if you need any help rubbing butter all over you then I'm sure I'll find some boys who will happily oblige!

Best of luck to you all - you're all amazing!

The channel looked tres chilly in the photos ladies... however those swimming cossies were SMOKIN' hot!

Not that I advocate polluting the earth or anything but I think a spot of global warming wouldn't go a miss! Only on the day of your challenge though, it can cool down straight after cos it's not good for the penguins (I learned that at London Zoo!)

Keep up the good work and well done! Never fail to amaze me.

Hi girl's

Well what can I say but that you are all amazing for trying to do this, I am crazy and have been going to the lake in Datchet on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with Kirsty and Rebecca Johnson, even Amanda Johnson was there today at 06.00 all the way from London to brave the cold,I have now witness first hand what it is all about, all I can is wow, that dam water is cold, I tried it with a shortie wetsuit for the first 3 times but I am in a full length one now, the pain that your body and mind goes through is mad,I survive 35 minutes, they survive 45-50 with no wetsuit, very brave but I am there as chief hot chocolate man on the side,

Keep up all the training, today was good and the lake seemed to be possibly geting warmer....not sure!!,

Same time Thursday,

Cheers Tyron

I have the official name of Crazy Keith. Had it for years, but I have never done anything so crazy as what you are all prepared to do in training for this event.

The dedication and in particular the pain involved in the training sessions is so severe that it is uncomfortable for a parent to witness. The most natural reaction is to try and drag you all out of the water or stop you going in, in the first place.

I just comfort myself with the fact that there are always other equally crazy people training at the same time and they all think it is fairly 'normal', not crazy at all.

Despite this, I will have to put in extra effort myself to ensure my Crazy title is still justified.

Went to the beach on Sunday (Sydney), it was a meer 18 degree water temp...no bloody way..but thought of you girls and preyed that Dover could be as warm as our Sydney waters.

I have known the Johnson trio all their lives and thought them to be well balanced and sensible - how wrong can you be!!

In my day, to swim one way required you to be covered in half an inch of goose fat, you are not even wearing a wet suit. Is that progress?

I think this is a fantastic challenge and highly commend you for making the team and all the training so far!

If the lakes back in April were anything to go by then I take my hats off to you...cheeks that don't move make it very hard to say anything comprehensive at all (I was lucky enough to don a wetsuit for my swims back then, so can't imagine how the cold must feel without!)

Wishing you all the best of luck...the hours of training is the hard part...hopefully that will mean you can enjoy the challenge itsself...I have no doubt you will succeed!!

keep it going - I reckon by looking at t he tracker chart you must be able to see the lights of Dover, you're only a centimetre or so away! And all those big nasty container ships are behind you.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! - Well done to all of you. Bex, it's a bit daunting knowing we've got a Wonder Woman just two doors away. We tracked you and got a little worried when you started to drift toward the Atlantic but then came the news that you'd landed so, once again, well done to all concerned.

Hi Team. What an awesome achievement. You guys have been so inspiring, I’ve set up my own 2 team (s) of seven and we are planning to do the channel swim in July next year. I was wondering if you could please get in touch as i wanted to have a chat about your experience of this and how you managed to get the sponsorship in place etc., which bits were the hardest, along with any training tips you can provide.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Ange
